Every Xyrena release is protected: the names, the bottles, the packaging, and more. Xyrena is one of the only fragrance brands on earth that literally owns its formats.
Names, logos and trade dress
Xyrena®, Stubz®, XHS™ and our fragrance names are trademarks, registered with the USPTO or protected under common law, with further applications pending. Our VHS-style packaging is registered trade dress.
Inventions and designs
The XHS bottle and the Stubz® air freshener trading card are covered by patents, issued and pending, in the United States and abroad.
Artwork and words
Our artwork, photography, packaging art and the copy on this site and on our products are protected by copyright.

The VHS is ours.
Xyrena's VHS-style packaging has been in continuous use since 2016 and is registered trade dress for fragrances and cosmetics. The protection covers the shape of the packaging itself: a fragrance or cosmetic product packaged in a VHS clamshell case is Xyrena's.
No other brand may package fragrance or cosmetic products in this style without a license or collaboration with us.
The design has been recognized from the start: Best New Brand and Best Packaging at the 2016 Pure Beauty Awards, and a finalist in Perfume, Cosmetics & Personal Care at the 2026 London Packaging Week Innovation Awards.
XHS Bottle
XHS is our format: the fragrance bottle shaped like a VHS cassette, at the heart of every Xyrena release. Its design and construction are patented. Finalist, 2026 London Packaging Week Innovation Awards (Perfume, Cosmetics & Personal Care).
Air Freshener Trading Card
Stubz®: the air freshener that becomes a collectible trading card. Patented in multiple configurations across most of the world, with further patents pending. Finalist, 2026 London Packaging Week Innovation Awards (Consumer Goods).
Some of what we make is made under license.
Film, series and game titles, character names, logos and artwork that appear on licensed Xyrena products belong to their rights holders and are used with permission. Those owners keep every right in their property, and unauthorized use of it is pursued on their behalf as well as ours.

Xyrena owns and maintains a portfolio of domain names around the brand, its formats and the categories it created: to keep squatters and counterfeiters from trading on our name, for campaigns and mini-sites, for global expansion in the United Kingdom, Mexico and beyond, and so that anyone searching for a movie or TV perfume, a horror cologne, a VHS scent or an air freshener trading card finds Xyrena.

Every one of these addresses belongs to Xyrena. Any website, email, message or offer originating from a domain not on this list is not affiliated with Xyrena, whatever it looks like.
Where we actually are.
Xyrena sells only on xyrena.com, through our official storefronts on the Shop app and TikTok Shop, and through our authorized retailers. These are our only social accounts. Any other account using our name, logo or packaging is an impersonation, whatever it looks like.
We protect what's ours.
The record so far. Counterfeit listings removed from Etsy, eBay and other marketplaces. Sellers made to stop using our trademarks and rename their products. Oppositions won, quietly, against corporations many times our size that tried to trade on our names.
Unauthorized use, reproduction or distribution of Xyrena's patented designs, trademarks, copyrighted work, trade dress or trade secrets, anywhere in the world, is met with legal action under US and international law. That means:
- Takedowns of counterfeit listings, copied artwork and look-alike packaging on every marketplace and platform.
- Cease-and-desist demands, followed by civil litigation for damages where they are ignored.
- Referral for criminal prosecution where counterfeiting or theft of trade secrets is involved.
Genuine Xyrena products are sold only on xyrena.com, through our official storefronts on the Shop app and TikTok Shop, and through our authorized retailers. If you've seen a knock-off, or a listing that doesn't look right, tell us.
